When Françoise Delord, fascinated by exotic birds, created the first aviary in 1980, she could not have imagined that Beauval would not only become one of the finest zoos of France, but the most visited site in the region. Some 600 species of over 10,000 animals roam in this huge estate, including very rare white tigers, superb large monkeys, the famous giant pandas from China and even rarer, the panda cub, Yuan Meng, who was born in August 2017.
