The Michelin Guide's review
Lined by some impressive buildings, most by Austro-Hungarian architects working here in the early 20C, this long, straight, yellow-paved street (also called the "largo") is one of the capital's most attractive thoroughfares. As you stroll down the avenue, look out for the Austrian and Italian embassies on the left, followed by the handsome neo-Renaissance, two-storey Military Club, built by a Czech architect between 1895 and 1900.
