In this castle, built by Sir Henry Constable around 1600, the brick eastern façade is the first thing you notice. Inside, the Great Gallery designed by William Constable in the mid-18C, has a large number of family portraits. The marble fireplace is inlayed with flowers and birds by Domenico Bartoli. Some rooms, such as the Chinese Room, display exquisite pieces of Chippendale furniture.
