This saltwater lake, connected to the sea by a narrow canal, is a designated marine nature reserve. You can bathe in its strikingly clear waters, which are home to a large number of rare and unusual species (watch out however for sea urchins). All over the west and south banks there are excellent hiking trails which make for some lovely walks.
