The Michelin Guide's review
A group of seven Stone Age dwellings, which had been buried in the sand for many centuries, have since been excavated on Skaill Bay's western shore. This prehistoric village is the best preserved of all Neolithic settlements in northwest Europe and gives an idea of everyday life between 3100 and 2500 BC.
