The Michelin Guide's review
The Blue Medersa is without a doubt the jewel of Sivas. The building is immediately striking for its majestic and imposing appearance, which is reinforced by the two slender minarets rising above the portal. A turret stands at each corner of the building, adorned with carvings, while a portal opens in the middle of the façade, its concave pediment decorated with a profusion of muqarnas and interlacing. Built in 1271, the medersa is representative of the Baroque period of Seljuk art. The two minarets are also a good example of this style.
