  The Michelin Guide's review
The "Citadel of Women" is a masterpiece of classical Khmer art, tucked away in the north of the archaeological park. Adorned in exquisitely intricate carving, it seems to have been entirely constructed in pink lace sandstone. André Malraux developed something of an obsession for this 10C temple dedicated to Shiva, discovered by a team of French geographers while he was visiting Cambodia - to such an extent that he even stripped it of some of its ornamentation.
