The Michelin Guide's review
Established in 1970, Mauricie National Park comprises 536km²/205mi² in a transition area between the deciduous woods of the south and the boreal forest. For 5,000 years, the region's rich natural resources attracted indigenous peoples, trappers, loggers, raftsmen, fishermen and hunters. Nowadays, its boreal forest, mosaic of lakes, falls and rolling hillsides are popular with hikers, mountain bikers, snowshoe enthusiasts and canoers.
