The Michelin Guide's review
Constructed next to the Shawinigan Falls, the City of Energy enlightens visitors as to the role hydroelectric power played in the history of Quebec. A science centre complete with interactive displays, multimedia presentations, an observation tower and two hydroelectric power plants brings to life the innovations and inventions of the hydroelectric industry. Although the rocky beds of the chutes de Shawinigan (Shawinigan Falls) are scenic throughout the year, the falls are most impressive during the spring run-off.
