The Taiyuan villa, also known as the "merry widow's house", is without doubt the jewel of the Ruijin Hotel villas: Situated in a street free of cars, this French-style manor house hidden in a verdant setting was built by Count Maurice Frédéric Armand du Pac de Marsolies, who died young during the Yellow Cruise expedition, apparently much to the delight of his widow Ginette.
