  The Michelin Guide's review
Song Qingling (1893-1981), founder of the Chinese League for Human Rights, lived here from 1948 to 1963. Coming from a well-to-do Shanghai family, she joined the ranks of Mao Zedong and never ceased to promote the Chinese cause abroad. One of her sisters married Chiang Kai-chek and the other the wealthy banker Kung. Photos and letters illustrated their lives. Song Qinqling is laid to rest in a mausoleum here, alongside his ancestors (21 Songyuan Lu).
