The Michelin Guide's review
In the southeast of Kenai peninsula, this 2 700km2 park, still in a state of wilderness, offers sanctuary to thousands of mammals and seabirds. The annual 9m of snowfall regenerate the 800km km2 of Harding Icefield, from which 30 glaciers flow outward. Eight of them descend as far as the sea, where they create icebergs so huge that the explosions can be heard 30km away. Take a cruise to get a good look at this landscape.
