The Michelin Guide's review
The façade of the Palacio del Rey Don Pedro calls to mind that of the patio of the Golden Chamber of the Alhambra: beneath a large carved-wood porch is a sebka decor, graceful polylobed arcades and a large epigraphic frieze. The palace is laid out around the Patio de las Donacellas (Courtyard of the Maidens), which was the centre of official life, and the small Patio de la Muñecas (Courtyard of the Dolls), which was the preserve of private life. However, the most spectacular part remains the Salón de Embajadores and its superb 15C cedarwood cupola.
