The Michelin Guide's review
The last Gothic cathedral in Spain. Those who built it wanted to astonish the world by deciding, in the early 15C, to construct it on the site of the former Almohad Great Mosque. Built over a period of more than a century, the huge stone nave may have doors from different periods, but they do not upset the unity of a building in which the first Renaissance features appear. The interior is remarkably vast, an impression that is accentuated by the delicate columns.
