The Michelin Guide's review
At each end of this large promenade laid out in the 16C are two columns: those at the northern end, put in place in the 18C, support two lions bearing coats of arms. The columns at the south end are Roman; on top of them are statues of Hercules and Julius Cesar. This vast esplanade lined with bars is taken by storm in the evenings, especially at the weekend.
