The Michelin Guide's review
The extremely plain neo-Classical west façade of the town hall, which dates back to the 19C, gives onto Plaza Nueva. Opposite, the beautiful east façade (16C) by Diego de Riaño looks over Plaza de San Francisco; it is textbook Plateresque style, with exuberant, delicately created Classical decoration (plants, whimsical animals, grotesques, medallions with effigies and coats of arms).
