Deoksugung, a palace built in the 15C, provided sanctuary for the royal family on several occasions. Among the various edifices, most of which were rebuilt in the early 20C after a fire, look out for the amazing Seogodang. The reconstitution of the changing of the guard ceremony is well worth a look, for the soldiers bright costumes.
