The Michelin Guide's review
This fortress, which dominates the bay from atop a high cliff, is built in a square shape with corbel towers at each corner. It was built in 1558 by Ivan Lenkovic, then an Uskok captain (Ottoman resistance fighters). Highly restored, it features a small exhibition about the resistance. From the top, there is a splendid view of the maze of lanes in the medieval town, and beyond, Krk.
