Table of Satan

The Michelin Guide's review
To the south, the road heads towards Sarmisakli, leaving to its right a wild, indented coastline. Further on, the road passes the foot of the Seytan Sofrasi headland, a steeply sloped hill that heads toward the sea, enclosing the bay of Ayvalik. It owes its name, ("Table of Satan"), to the red light that illuminates its summit at dawn and dusk, as if all the devils in Hell were sitting around a table. The views of the islands and the sea are quite superb.
