Divided into an upper and a lower section (Unterer Stadtplatz and Oberer Stadplatz), the square is dominated by the majestic church tower. The fountain (St-Georgs-Brunnen) with its wrought-iron grille stands in the centre. The main highlight, though, is the row of colourful houses, Silberzeile (Silver Row), which call to mind the rich merchants who once lived there.
