Former ceramics factory, Sceaux
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Located at the corner of Rue des Imbergères, this ceramics factory was founded by the Duchess of Maine. In the second half of the 18C, Sceaux was home to one of the largest factories in France, thanks to the "faïence japonée" invented by chemist Jacques Chapelle. Some of its pieces can be admired in the Musée du Domaine Départemental de Sceaux.
