A dry forest of "dhak" and banyan trees, with a rocky peak at its centre crowned with an imposing ruined fortress: the scene here is straight out of the "Jungle Book". If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a tiger here, either hunting gazelle or swimming in one of the lakes. Even if you miss the king of the jungle, the sight of stags, antelopes and wild boar will more than make up for it. Note that Ranthambore Park is closed from July to September.
