The Michelin Guide's review
Dedicated to the culture of the First Nations Plains people, this park features several archaeological sites on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River. This site was a meeting place and hunting ground for these nomadic tribes for more than 6,000 years until their removal to reserves in the 1870s. A visitor centre is devoted to the First Nations culture and allows observation of archaeological excavations and laboratory work. Performances by the Wanuskewin Dance Troupe.
