This fine farmhouse in the Labourd region, built in the 17C by a shipowner, offers an insight into the everyday life of a Basque family. Note the comfortable interior, the straight staircase (as on board ship), the kitchen and its bread oven, the fine timberwork in the loft (which required the wood from 600 trees). Outside, you can explore the vegetable garden, the orchard, the vineyard, and the maize, hemp and capsicum plots, as well as the winepress, with its impressive main beam, and the washhouse.
