The Michelin Guide's review
This is the tomb of a V Dynasty dignitary and his son. It is built out of three sorts of stone: a fine white limestone to facilitate wall engraving, a harder stone for the ceiling and a coarser stone for the rest. The polychrome reliefs of the chapel of Akhethotep, the father, list his titles and the 17 family estates; those in the chapel of Ptahhotep depict him in a variety of costumes in agricultural work, fighting and nautical scenes.
