The Michelin Guide's review
Leading to the cathedral, Rua Senador Feijó is lined in university bookshops and snack shops (lanchonetes). At the end of a palm tree-lined alley, you will see the somewhat drab, neo-Gothic façade of Sé Cathedral (1954). And yet it hides an impressive interior, in terms of its size (111m long) and the scale of the vertical lines created by its pillars, without forgetting the exquisite, colourful stained-glass windows filtering the light. The building can hold up to 8 000 people.
