The Michelin Guide's review
Luz Monastery (1774) is home to this museum devoted to royal and popular religious art. It has a remarkable collection of oratories and statues, including a gilded wood Saint Peter from Portugal (18C), a polychrome wood Madonna carried by angels, a seated St George (without his stead) and a paunchy and short-legged Archangel Michael. The galleries of the cloisters house oil paintings on wood and canvas, as well as other other statues.
