To get to the Mirante São Jorge, take the track that starts at the entrance to the national park (signposts). The path climbs for more than 1km and leads to a gate; a further 250m walk on the quartz track and you reach this viewpoint affording magnificent panoramic views over the region. Ideal at sunset.
