Crossing of the Septentrional Cordillera
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Two handsome roads cut across the Cordillera Septentrional, one from Santiago and one from Moca. As you admire the landscape. To go to Puerto Plata from Santiago, take the Carretera Turística, via La Cumbre. It is in this region that the amber mines are located. From Moca, a picturesque road meets up with the Atlantic coast level with the village of Sabaneta de los Cangrejos, near Sosúa.
