The Michelin Guide's review
Linked to the main island by a man-made isthmus, the island of Sant'Antioco, the largest in Sardinia, is located in the southeast. Its 15 000 inhabitants live mainly in Sant'Antioco and Calasetta. A peaceful natural site populated by pink flamingoes and graceful pied avocets, it has coasts, that are sandy in the north and steep in the west and south, as well as beaches, both secluded and lively, and a clear sea backing onto green scrubland. What more could you ask for?
