The Michelin Guide's review
This rotunda contains several works by the painter Giovanni Segantini (1858-1899), who was one of the major artists of symbolism in the late 19C. Of Italian origins, he also contributed to renovating alpine art and his canvases immerse you into the Engadin mountains and Bregaglia valley. His most impressive work, Life, Nature and Death hangs beneath the cupola.
