The Michelin Guide's review
Running north to south, this long valley flanked by the Faggenbach valley to the west and the Ötztal Ache to the east is renowned for the extraordinary high mountain landscapes of its hinterland. It opens out onto a cirque glacier dominated by Wildspitze (3 774m), the Tyrol's highest peak: thanks to the Pitz-Panoramabahn cable car, you can take in a fantastic panoramic view over the Alps from the top of the Hinterer Brunnenkogel.
