The Michelin Guide's review
This is the name given to the old town of San Remo because of its beak-like (pigna) shape. La Pigna is crisscrossed by a network of alleyways lined by tall and narrow houses, packed together around Piazza San Siro, which is dominated by the plain façade of the cathedral flanked by a Baroque bell tower. From the Baroque sanctuary of Madonna della Costa, there is a fine view of the town and bay.
