The Michelin Guide's review
The River Orcia runs south of San Quirico through a typically Tuscan landscape (rolling hills dotted with cypress trees, either standing alone or in planted in elegant rows). This "cultural landscape" created during the Renaissance period was classified by UNESCO in 2004. In the distance, you'll see small towns capped with mighty fortresses, such as Rocca d'Orcia or Castiglione d'Orcia, while the thermal spa at Bagno Vignoni is perfect for a relaxing interlude.
