Quebrada de Jáchal
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The superb road leading from San José to Rodeo skirts the Quebrada de Jáchal, a long fault through which the river of the same name runs. The narrow road snakes along, offering superb views. The slopes draw in to form a canyon. At yet another bend, there appears, unexpectedly, the Dique Cuesta del Viento, a lovely turquoise reservoir lake with the Andes and some snow-covered peaks in the distance.
