The Michelin Guide's review
This plot of redwoods is one of the last virgin forests in the Bay Area. Many of the trees are several hundred years old and some are over 250ft high. The park is named after John Muir (1838-1914), a militant American naturalist conservationist. A concrete path (1mi) snakes around the forest by a stream and there are also other non-paved and less well-trodden paths accessible to hikers.
