 Well worth the diversions
Park or garden
  The Michelin Guide's review
The Japanese tea garden is one of the most enchanting spots in Golden Gate Park. Built for the 1894 Midwinter Fair, it features a Zen garden, a bonsai rockery, a pretty five-storey pagoda, a Wishing Bridge that is so arched that its reflection in the water forms a circle and a 3m-tall bronze Buddha dating from 1790. Visitors enjoy sipping green tea and nibbling delicate Japanese snacks in the teahouse.
