Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Of the ten houses commissioned by William Heath Davis who wanted to develop a residential neighborhood near the sea, only this one survived the fire that swept through the complex. This delightful white clapboard house, built in 1850 and inhabited until 1981, was restored and transported to its current spot in 1984. The interior is characteristic of the Victorian era and each room is furnished as it would have been at the time of its owners from 1850 to 1880.
