The Michelin Guide's review
The museum features ten ships moored by the docks, which already paint a fine picture should you not wish to go inside the museum. The highlight of the collection is the Star of India. Launched on November 14, 1863 in Scotland, it circumnavigated the globe 21 times, taking emigrants to New Zealand. Also worthy of note are the Berkeley, a Victorian ferryboat (1898), the Medea, an iron-hulled steam yacht, two reproductions, Californian and HMS Surprise, and two submarines.
