Gertrude Duby Blom and her husband Frans Blom, emeritus researchers who devoted their lives to Mayan culture and in particular to the Lacandons, come to life here in the "Jaguar House". The fruits of their research are displayed within the walls of their house, including everyday objects, the results of archaeological digs, religious art (in the little chapel), and superb photographs. An association has continued their mission by working to protect the Lacandons, threatened with extinction.
