The Michelin Guide's review
The Church of Santo Domingo, founded in 1547, stands at the top of a flight of stairs. Its (late 17C) Baroque façade is without a doubt the most extraordinary one in town. Flanked by two bell towers overladen with Solomonic columns, niches and floral motifs, it looks like a giant reredos. Echoing the exterior in richness, the interior boasts a splendid reredos in gilded wood and a beautiful pulpit.
