The Michelin Guide's review
A rambling three-story Colonial with steeply pitched roofs, this house was immortalized by writer Nathaniel Hawthorne (1804-64) in his 1851 novel of the same name. Inside, scenes from the novel come alive as you pass from Hepzibah's Cent Shop to the parlor where the judge was found. Tours cover six of the sixteen rooms.
