The Michelin Guide's review
This magnificent edifice, built between 1743 and 1748, is considered to be the most important church dating from the French Regime. The Neoclassical interior was the work of Thomas Baillairgé in 1821. The sculpted vault (1812) by Louis-Bazile David depicts a starry sky. Dating from 1749, the tabernacle of the main altar is the work of the Levasseur family, while the tabernacles of the lateral altars are attributed to Pierre Florent.
