The Michelin Guide's review
The gorgeous public garden created in 1849 is dominated on the eastern side by the town's luxury hotel, the Saint Paul Hotel, built in 1910. On the south side is the 1916 James J. Hill Reference Library, whose large two-storey reading room has a coffered ceiling and an inlaid marble floor. The western side is occupied by the town's largest stage, the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, recognisable by its long façade with glass panels.
