The Michelin Guide's review
Stretched along the highest ground in St Paul just west of downtown, this long thoroughfare is one of the best-preserved Victorian boulevards in the country. Lined with more than 300 mansions, this was, except for a period of decline during the years 1930-1960, the stomping grounds for the elite; it remains the prestigious part of St Paul. It was in an apartment at no 599 Summit that F. Scott Fitzgerald, a native of St Paul, wrote This Side of Paradise, in the summer of 1919.
