The Michelin Guide's review
Langue de Barbarie National Park, south of Saint-Louis, is named after the strip of sand separating the Senegal River from the ocean. Exceptional birdlife inhabits the 2 000ha site, where freshwater meets saltwater. Sadly the site has been under threat since the opening of a breach to avoid Saint-Louis flooding.
