The Michelin Guide's review
St Michel Foundry lies between wooded hills in the delightful, verdant Masblette valley. A Benedictine community was previously resident here, and in the 18C, the last abbot of St Hubert, Nicolas Spirlet, established a metalworks here. In 1966, the site was acquired by the local authority, and was used to house the Luxembourg Province museums (the Wallonia Rural Life Museum and the Museum of Iron and Traditional Metalworking).
