The Michelin Guide's review
This handsome dwelling is thought to be St. Augustine's oldest extant residential structure. It was built in the early 18C for the Hernandez family, and underwent many modifications and uses over the decades. The interior decoration illustrates the different phases of occupation of Saint Augustine, from the Spanish colonial to the American territorial periods, without forgetting a brief spell under the British.
