Coming from Vinh Long, having crossed the Sa Dec river, turn immediately right to follow the waterway where a spectacular fruit and vegetable market is held in a modern covered market hall. Not far away, note the high building crowned by a spire, whose architecture evokes that of a church. This is, in fact, the old covered market, where stallholders wearing the traditional conical hat sell a colourful array of goods such as live chickens, fish, spices etc.
