The Michelin Guide's review
This large and impressive building, which was begun in the 12C, has a famous 16C clock, its 5.5 m pendulum swinging inside and its ornate face on the outside of the north transept, flanked by gaily painted coloured figures who strike the quarters but not the hours. From the tower, there is an incomparable view of Rye's red-tiled roofs and the surrounding countryside.
